We have entered the whole 'what-are-Asa-and-Lexi-going-to-be-for-Halloween' debate season. Is it not enough that we have to listen to the presidential and vice-presidential debates, but we must also do this at home? LOL. Our original idea was to have Asa be a Pirate this year. He loves Pirates (ever since Thomas' Pirate Themed Birthday Party) and he's been really practicing his "Arrrrrghhh" and getting really good at it. But then, I found his San Diego Zoo Jr. Zookeeper Outfit that we bought him when we went to San Diego Zoo back in July. I decided to try it on him this weekend and he looked soooooo very cute. Plus, he already has his Adventurer Hat from the Phx Zoo that we bought him last time we went. So the outfit is complete and he's ready for trick-or-treating!! Cant' get more simple than that, right?
I can't explain the look on his face, but he was very serious about not wanting Daddy to come up the stairs and was fending him off with the clothespin!
Here we are just chillin' at the top of the stairs, letting our feet dangle. First time I had every seen him do this. And, he would not let me take this outfit off of him the entire afternoon/evening. Yep - he wore it all day! He was finally okay with me taking it off of him when I bribed him with a bubble bath. (his favorite!)
Happy little Lexi. Can there be anything cuter in this world? I don't think so!
Asa spent this day with Daddy and went and got his hair cut and then afterwards Daddy took him to Sonic for a Mini Banana Split. This is the day I took Lexi to get her pictures done (I will include those pic's on the next post).
But was kind enough to stick a few on Lexi too!
A few weeks back John and I took Lexi and Asa to the Kids Fair held at Univ of Phx Stadium. HUGE waste of time and money. Seriously! This event was so un-organized and mis-planned it was hard to have fun. You would think that a stadium that size would be a big enough venue, right? Nope. Not hardly. First of all they had all of these vendors there that quite frankly you would see at the Home Show. This is for kids, right? What 2-10 year old is interested in pots/pans/shamwow's/investments/storage shelves/trips/vacation homes/vacuum cleaners/etc? You had to carefully and patiently I might add, matriculate your way through all of these booths, a million kids running amok, the parents and about a zillion strollers to get to the characters that were unfortunately posted every few booths or so. You see the character, your kid gets excited, but then you find out that there is a line 50-100 people deep just so you can meet the character and hopefully get a picture with one. Did I add there was no formal line either? People were getting cut off left and right and you just hoped that you weren't one of the one's doing. Our goal was to see SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barney and a few others I forget now. I forget, because we never did see them. No where in sight, not hiding in a booth (we checked) - no where! I included pictures below of what Asa did get to see, and yes, they are it. Our solution - inflate the price to $20 per person. They'll make the same amount of money and there will be less people. IF they do that, we MIGHT try it again. Otherwise, count us out next year.

Lexi and Mommy with Elmo. Asa loved seeing Elmo from a distance but up close didn't work very well for him.
I took this pic while Asa was watching Barney. He is so serious, it cracks me up!
