Pow Wow & Cabela's

This weekend we had the honor of being invited to an amazing Pow Wow Competition held at the University of Phoenix Stadium (home to the Arizona Cardinals). This is the 1st ever Pow Wow that has been held at a NFL Stadium. It was amazing. The costumes, the drums, the dancing... everything. I was also very grateful that my co-worker who invited us, gave me permission to take photo's and video while we were there. I encourage everyone to go to one of these, it is truly an amazing experience and one you will never forget. The kids loved it the first time we went and they love it this time too. Asa loves watching the Indians dance.

Since I am still trying to work out the kinks putting the videos up on the blog, for now please continue to click on the links... sorry!

Here is cool video of the Opening Ceremony...

This sweet little girl took a liking to both Asa and Lexi right away. Isn't she precious? I'm not sure if she spoke any English or not because she never really did say anything but liked to touch Asa's arm and Lexi's face. She was very gentle. Asa was kind enough to share his Animal Crackers with her, which I think made her like him even more.

Please forgive me for the blurry pictures that follow, but in a way I think they are kinda cool. These little guys move so fast it's hard to take a really good picture with the point and click digital that we have.

Here's another video - definitely worth checking out. The dancing is amazing!!!

After the Pow Wow, we took the kids to Cracker Barrel for lunch and then over to Cabela's to check out the animals. (Another one of their favorite things to do!)

And for giggles, here's another video of Asa we took last week. He is in the "big one" watching his favorite movie 'Madagascar'. This is one of the many parts that he knows by heart. Sorry it's so dark. The sun was going down.

Cabela's has everything outdoors - from hunting, fishing, kayaks, canoes, hiking, camping, etc.
